These steps outline why you may get the following messages on doing Test Connection on your Powr of You Android app and how to fix them:

  1. Phone data is missing
  2. Provide phone permission

Phone data is used to provide you insights about your phone usage, i.e. how often you use your phone for calls vs. using apps etc, along with rewards.


Fix "Phone data is missing" message

This message You've not made any phone calls from your phone (VOIP or Whatsapp calls don't qualify in this case) since you've granted the phone permission on the Powr of You app. In this case, the message is accurate and no action is required by you. The message will simply be removed once you make a phone call

 

Fix "Provide phone permission" message

Option 1: Provide permission via device Settings

  1. Go to Settings icon on your Android device
  2. Select the Apps menu
  3. Scroll to find and select the Powr of You app on the list. The list is alphabetical by default
  4. Select the Permissions option
  5. Turn the permission ON on the Phone option


That's it! Your app usage permission should now be turned on. To confirm it's connected correctly:

  1. Open the Powr of You app on your Android phone
  2. Select the top left menu icon > Test Connection > select the CLICK HERE TO TEST button
  3. The "Phone data is missing" message should no longer be shown

 

Option 2: Using the Test Connection menu on the Powr of You app

These steps apply for users who want to use the Powr of You app to fix the settings.

  1. Open the Powr of You app on your Android phone
  2. Select the top left menu icon > Test Connection > select the CLICK HERE TO TEST button
  3. Once the test is complete, it'll show a step "Phone data is missing" message. Select the FIX button
  4. The next screen provides you information on the Apps with usage access menu where you'll need to grant permission for the Powr of You app to fix the app data issue. Select the OK button at the bottom to get started
